Approov token binding provides an optional defense in depth protection when using Approov. It allows Approov tokens to be strongly bound to another piece of data being used in the mobile app, typically an authentication token. This strongly binds the Approov token to a particular user that can be verified on the backend API. Support for token binding is provided in the mobile app quickstarts and in the majority of our backed API quickstarts.
