But what does “warehouse-first” mean?

For starters, taking a warehouse-first approach is less about the architectural diagram (and where the warehouse sits relative to other tools) and more about the philosophical approach data teams take to unifying, centralizing and enriching data.

That philosophy extends beyond data infrastructure as well, influencing components across the stack, including 3rd-party analytics tools.
