Amazon Makes Product Titles 75 Characters

Starting July 27th, titles will be limited to 75 characters.

Wow! That's a big change.

So long, keyword-stuffing titles.

To make up for the lack of space, a new field, "Item Highlights," is being added. This is 125 characters that allow for details like recommended use cases and materials.

Is this a big deal? Yeah, it kind of is.

Millions of products will get truncated to whatever Amazon's AI suggests. Which may or may not be wrong.

But let's lean into it being decent.

You still will want to leverage the Item Highlights to make sure you're surfacing top use cases so you can make it to the new "Alexa" shopping assistant.
