Today I get to share the first of several new features we're launching: you can now filter contact and company history by activity type! Then I'll explain what Cupholder Week is, and why it ended with a milkshake party.

🔍 Just Launched: Filter Your Contact and Company History

The History section of a contact record in Less Annoying CRM with the All activity menu open, showing on and off switches for each activity type

The new filter menu on a contact's history, with a switch for each activity type

I'm so excited to share this one, because it's one of the top requests we get from our longtime customers! It's also the first of several new features launching soon (more on where they came from below).

The longer you've used the CRM, the more each record's history grows: every note, email, meeting, task, and pipeline update, all in one place. But everyone uses the CRM a little differently. Maybe you don't need to see pipeline updates, but your notes are essential. Maybe you want to toggle logged emails off temporarily to find a certain task you completed. Now you can choose which types of activity show up in contact and company history, so you see what matters most to you.

✅ Pick what you see: click All activity above the history section and switch activity types on or off, like notes, emails, events, or tasks.

💾 Set your defaults: save your filter as the default for all your contacts, all your companies, or both, so every record opens just the way you like.

Give it a try the next time you open a contact or company!

🥤 Raising a Cup to Cupholder Week

Our team celebrating the end of Cupholder Week with milkshakes

Nobody buys a car for the cupholders. But you'd definitely notice if they weren't there!

That's the idea behind Cupholder Week. Our developers spent a week building the small things customers kept asking for: features that won't make headlines, but make the CRM nicer to use every day. To pick projects, we looked for the sweet spot: requests customers bring up again and again, that were small enough to build in a single week.

We can do weeks like this because we're bootstrapped. We don't take investor money, so our customers are the only people we answer to, and we get to spend our time building what you ask for!

The history filter above is the first one to launch. Expect to hear about more cupholder projects launching in the coming weeks. We also got a start on a bigger, much-requested project, though that one will take a little longer to arrive. Stay tuned!

And since a cupholder needs something to hold, we wrapped up the week with a milkshake party. The menu had strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and cookies and cream, plus a wildcard: Oreo and caramel courtesy of CRM coach Maya. I wrote more about how the week came together in the blog post below.
