We’ve had a busy month shipping lots of quality of life improvements, so let’s get right to it!

What's New?

AI Overview Dashboard: See usage, cost, and latency for every AI call in your environment, broken down by function and model, with drill-through to the underlying runs.

Session propagation: Sessions now follow your events automatically through step.sendEvent() , step.invoke() , and failure/lifecycle events — so related runs stay grouped without extra wiring.

What's Better?

Worker level concurrency is massively improved: We’ll queue runs until workers have capacity, and we won’t fail steps when limits are hit.

Runs scheduled via an event's <scheduled_at> now show their scheduled time directly in the dashboard.

The trace view's expand/collapse controls now only show up when there's something to expand.

Concurrency overages now obvious via color-coding in the graph.

New OTel readiness indicator tells you whether your app is set up correctly to unlock AI observability features.

What's Next?

Migrating to FoundationDB (Part 1): Last month I shared that we’re working on two big initiatives to make Inngest even more reliable—migrating our state store, and bringing on a new rack of bare metal servers.
