Hey John,

Our first major update of 2026 — Dublin — is out now. You can open Sketch to update, or grab it here.

With Dublin, we’re ticking off a long list of features and improvements you’ve been asking for. If you requested one of the features below, we’ll pretend it’s dedicated just to you.

Selection colors

Quickly view and adjust colors across your selection. Adjust one and every layer using it updates. Sort selection colors by how frequently they appear, or by their color value. Show different opacities of the same color separately, or combine and adjust them together.

Independent borders and better border controls

Set borders per side on rectangles, frames, and graphics. All sides equally, a single side, or custom widths for each. Plus, set dashed borders to center neatly on corners and apply advanced border settings to text layers.

Corner smoothing controls, capsule support, and more

Smooth corners look way better on squircles and capsules. You can choose how smooth they are and use the new “Max” option to keep them fully rounded at any size. Want to round corners on combined shapes? You can now!

All-new eyedropper tool

As well as looking a lot better, the new eyedropper tool can grab Color Variables. Hold ⇧ when you hover a Color Variable (you’ll see its name next to the loupe) to pick it instead of the raw value. You can also resize the loupe by scrolling.

ICYMI: MCP server and previews

These aren’t brand new, but they didn’t get their own email, which they totally should have, so we’re righting that wrong.

With the MCP server, you can have your favorite AI client (like Claude, Codex, or Cursor, but also others) access your Sketch documents — explore layouts, export assets, and even generate new things.

With Previews, you can choose which pages or prototypes from a document to share — and keep the rest hidden. You can share them with anyone to view in any web browser — no Sketch account needed.
