Our TabaPay Account Updator (TAU) service will update credentials if a card is reported lost or stolen. This helps drive down fraud and ensures your data base stays up-to-date. We've added the following set of conditions used to qualify TabaPay accountIDs (cards on file) for follow-up processing:

Visa and Mastercard Don't Actually Move Any Money

Visa and Mastercard are purely messaging networks — they simply verify card validity and fund availability between banks, while the actual money movement happens separately through a settlement process that can take 24–72 hours. So when a terminal says "Approved," that's just a message; the dollars don't move until later, in batch settlements behind the scenes.
