Studio Notes

I'm Nithin, a full stack developer building calm, useful digital products. I build calm digital tools: software that does one job well, explains itself, and gets out of the way once you understand it.

Most of my time right now goes into Lineform, an open-source workspace for turning early ideas into clear product decisions. It grew out of watching good teams lose good reasoning in long threads and forgotten documents.

Before going independent, I worked across product design, front-end engineering, and building small companies. That mix shapes how I work: I sketch in code, ship in small steps, and treat every detail as part of the product.

Local-first software

Apps that work offline and keep your data on your device, with sync as a feature rather than a dependency.

Motion that explains

Transitions that show where something came from and where it went, instead of animation for its own sake.

Durable design systems

Fewer components with clearer rules, built to survive a redesign and a change of team.

Small tools with clear boundaries

Software that says plainly what it won't do, which makes what it does do easier to trust.
