What do you do when you close a deal?

Do you post a templated Just Sold graphic, and move on?

That checks the box off the SOP to-do list, but it doesn’t do much else.

Instead, consider telling the story behind the sale.

How do you tell that story? Start by asking yourself these 4 questions:

What did the client need?

What made the sale difficult?

What did you recommend?

What happened because of it?

Those four answers can turn one sale into a great case study.

Did the seller need to buy before they sold? Maybe their home needed work before it could compete. Or the first offer wasn’t the right one and the pricing strategy needed adjustments to give the seller options.

A Just Sold post proves you completed a transaction.

A case study shows how you think, how you solve problems, and what it’s like to work with you.

It might sound counterintuitive to highlight the parts of the process that didn’t go perfectly, but that’s the part future clients care about.

You can use that story in an email to your database, a social post (think carousels), a page on your website, or even your next listing presentation. One closing can give you weeks of credible, engaging marketing when you take a few minutes to document what actually happened.

Before you move on from your next transaction, answer those four questions while the details are still fresh.
