Canonical: https://brew.new/compare/claude-email-marketing

## The short version

Use Claude on its own to plan campaigns, write copy and draft emails in your own Gmail.

Connect Claude to Brew and it designs on-brand emails, sends them from your domain to your list and runs your automations, with you approving every send.

## Claude alone vs Claude + Brew

### Key differences

| | Claude alone | Claude + Brew |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Designs finished, on-brand emails | Writes copy; does not generate images or design emails | Layout, copy and images from your brand, ready to send |
| Renders correctly in every inbox | Artifacts preview web pages; nothing on email clients | Email-safe HTML, with inbox rendering tests |
| Sends from your own domain | Partly: One email at a time from your own Gmail, after you approve | From your verified domain, once you approve |
| Keeps contacts, audiences and unsubscribes | No contact list, audiences or opt-outs | Unlimited contacts, audiences and opt-outs in one place |
| Runs automations from your product’s events | Cannot trigger emails from signups or purchases | Stripe, Shopify, Clerk, Supabase or your own events |
| Shows what happened after you send | No opens, clicks or inbox placement data | Opens, clicks and inbox placement tests |

### Working on emails

| | Claude alone | Claude + Brew |
| --- | --- | --- |

### Pricing

| | Claude alone | Claude + Brew |

## What Claude does well on its own

- Plans campaigns and writes email copy, and Projects keep your brand notes and files in every chat.
- Builds web pages and visuals as artifacts, and Claude in Chrome can click through websites on paid plans.
- The Gmail connector searches, drafts and sends from your own mailbox, with your approval before each send.

## Where Claude stops

- Claude does not generate images, so on its own it cannot produce a finished email with on-brand visuals.
- Its artifacts are web pages: Anthropic says nothing about how HTML renders in Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail.
- No contact list, audiences, unsubscribes or sending domain, and nothing to trigger emails from your product’s events.

## What it costs

Claude Free includes one custom connector. Pro is $20 a month, or $17 billed yearly, and Max starts at $100.

Brew is billed on emails sent and AI credits, with unlimited contacts on every plan: a free trial with 500 AI credits and 1,000 sends, then Growth at $99/month for 10,000 AI credits and 50,000 sends.

## Connect Claude to Brew

Claude connects to remote MCP servers on every plan, in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Cowork. Free allows one custom connector.

1. **Sign in to Brew and pick a brand.** Start a free trial, paste your website so Brew writes your brand files, and connect your sending domain.
2. **Open Connectors.** In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it under Organization settings first.
3. **Add Brew.** Enter https://brew.new/api/mcp, choose to sign in now, click Add and sign in to Brew.
4. **Ask Claude for an email.** Describe the email or flow in a chat. Claude asks before it uses Brew’s tools, and Brew asks you to confirm before anything sends.

## Your agent runs your lifecycle email.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Grok over MCP and your agent gets every Brew tool. It designs emails from your brand, builds audiences, runs automations and schedules sends. OAuth and organization-scoped MCP connections ask you to confirm live sends and launches. Brand-scoped API keys can execute permitted calls without the MCP confirmation step.

## Every email designed from your brand.

Paste your website and Brew writes your brand into two files your agent reads for every email. Describe the email and it appears on the canvas, ready to edit by hand or in chat.

## Questions

### Can Claude do email marketing on its own?

Partly. Claude can plan campaigns, write copy and draft emails in your own Gmail. On its own it does not design a finished, on-brand email, hold your contacts, send from your domain or run automations.

### Can Claude send marketing emails?

Not marketing email. The Gmail connector can send single emails from your own mailbox with your approval, but Claude has no contact list, unsubscribes or sending domain.
Connected to Brew, Claude sends campaigns from your own domain to your audiences, with unsubscribes handled, after you approve.

### How do I connect Claude to Brew?

Claude connects to remote MCP servers on every plan, in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Cowork. Free allows one custom connector. Open Connectors: In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it under Organization settings first. Add Brew: Enter https://brew.new/api/mcp, choose to sign in now, click Add and sign in to Brew. Ask Claude for an email: Describe the email or flow in a chat. Claude asks before it uses Brew’s tools, and Brew asks you to confirm before anything sends.

### Which Claude plan do I need for Brew?

Any plan. Free allows one custom connector, which can be Brew; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise allow more. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds the connector first.

### Do Claude’s emails come out on-brand?

Claude writes good copy, but on its own it does not design the email from your brand. Brew does: it writes your brand into files your agent reads for every email, then designs the layout, copy and images and tests how it renders.

### Does Claude send anything without my approval?

No. Over OAuth, Brew asks you to confirm before anything is sent or goes live, so the assistant drafts and you approve.

### What does it cost?

Claude Free includes one custom connector. Pro is $20 a month, or $17 billed yearly, and Max starts at $100. Brew is billed on emails sent and AI credits, with unlimited contacts on every plan: a free trial with 500 AI credits and 1,000 sends, then Growth at $99/month for 10,000 AI credits and 50,000 sends.
