In order for your app to be considered valid by Approov, the app signing certificate must be added. An untampered registered app running on a valid device is then able to receive valid Approov tokens so that it can authenticate itself to API backends. You can force failure of specific app versions, so there is the ability to revoke access for old versions of your app if desired.
