Your Approov account security policy determines the acceptable characteristics for apps to be issued with valid Approov tokens, or runtime secrets to be distributed to the app. You have complete control over this. For instance, you can choose if rooted devices should be considered valid or not. Security policies can be changed dynamically without having to modify the app itself in any way, given you rapid flexibility. A number of preset policies are available but you also have complete fine grain control using custom rejection policies.
