Hi there,

We're letting you know that CloudCannon will start using a new sub-processor, Anthropic, from 15 August 2026. The tool will be used internally by our team to help build, test, and support the product, and in the course of that work, it may process some customer data.

We're giving you this notice under Article 28 of the GDPR (and the UK GDPR) and our Data Processing Agreement, which entitles you to at least 30 days' notice before a new sub-processor takes effect.

Data processed: customer data that may incidentally appear in support queries, or in site content and code our team works with while building, testing, and supporting the product. This can include names, email addresses, and company details that happen to appear in that work

Use: assisting the CloudCannon team with building, testing, and supporting the product

The provider is based in the United States. Transfers of personal data are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses in our DPA, so no separate transfer mechanism is needed on your side.

No action is needed if you're happy for these to proceed.

If you want to object on reasonable data protection grounds, email privacy@cloudcannon.com with the subject "Sub-processor Objection" and the grounds for your objection, within 10 days of receiving this notice. We'll discuss your concerns in good faith and try to resolve them. If we can't, you may terminate the affected part of the Service, as set out in our DPA. If we don't hear from you within that period, we'll take it that you consent to the change.
