We’re excited to introduce

Compass Cloud, Cohere’s enterprise retrieval platform for building high-precision RAG, search, and agentic applications grounded in company data - now available as a managed service.

Compass brings the complete retrieval pipeline into one configurable platform, so developers can focus on building contextually relevant AI experiences instead of operating each service.

With Compass Cloud, teams get all the benefits of Compass without the overhead of self-hosting, including:

Higher retrieval accuracy: Hybrid lexical, sparse, and dense search—combined with Cohere’s reranking technology—surfaces stronger evidence for models and end users

Better economics: More relevant results reduce unnecessary context, token usage, generative inference costs, and time to completion

One integrated platform: Connect, parse, embed, index, retrieve, rerank, and govern enterprise content through a single interface

Built for agentic search RAG: Support both conventional search and multi-step agentic workflows through APIs, MCP, or the Python SDK

Enterprise governance: Multi-tenant access controls and document-level permissions enforced during retrieval

Compass Cloud is currently in private beta. We’re looking for enterprise teams building retrieval-heavy and agentic applications to become beta partners. Participants receive early access, hands-on support from our engineering team, and a direct voice in shaping the roadmap.

Beta places are limited.
