New Claude Code threads start on Opus 5.5, and new Codex threads start on GPT-6 Sol. Both do more than the models they replace, and both cost fewer credits to run. New models Claude Opus 5.5 is the new Claude Code default It performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 on most work and generates output more than 30% faster than Opus 5. On Draftbit credits, input and output cost 20% less than Opus 5, and cache reads (the context the agent re-reads on every step, which is most of the cost of coding work) cost 60% less. How many tokens a task takes still varies, so your savings will too. Read more → GPT-6 Sol is the new Codex default GPT-6 Sol makes about half as many mistakes as GPT-5.6 Sol on OpenAI's factuality evaluation. On Draftbit credits, it costs the same per input token as GPT-5.6 Terra, the previous Codex default, and about 17% less per output token. GPT-6 Luna is new too. It uses a twentieth of GPT-6 Sol's credits, which makes it a good fit for quick edits and routine work. Threads you've already started keep the model they began with. A tip for saving credits All three models start at medium reasoning effort, which handles most everyday changes and keeps credit use down. For a stubborn bug or a big refactor, pick High or above from the Reasoning effort menu next to the model. Everything else that shipped Browser controls in the preview Previews now have Home, Back, Forward, Reload, and Reset buttons, an address bar you can type a route into, and a searchable route picker. You can also pop a preview out into its own window. Preview browser controls above three screens of a travel app template Better project import Backend apps can be imported now, and projects with a nonstandard Vite setup import more reliably. Clearer custom domain setup The setup dialog now lists every DNS record you need up front, grouped by domain and marked required or optional, so you can add them all before you click Verify. Supabase publishing fixes Updated edge functions always reach production now, auth settings copy over reliably, and a failed step stops the deploy instead of quietly dropping changes. Your development branch and its test data are kept between deploys. Claude Code fixes You get 15 minutes to paste the sign-in code when you connect your Claude plan, resumed threads follow your current instructions, and the Context Window Usage indicator is more accurate.
