It's been over two months since the last What's New update, but we haven't slowed down in adding new things you've requested. You can now import any existing JavaScript or TypeScript project via GitHub repo or zip and keep building it in Draftbit. We've added a new type of app: Hono API backends paired with Cloudflare D1 databases or your own Postgres. The latest models are in, including GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable 5.1, and there are now more than 200 starting point templates for your next project. Read the full update The big four Import existing projects Whether you have an old app to update, are migrating from another service, or found the perfect starter kit elsewhere, you can now import that code into Draftbit from a public or private GitHub repo or a zip file. Migrate to Draftbit conventions for the full visual editing, preview, and publishing experience, or keep the app as-is with our Minimal sandbox for frameworks like Next.js. Pair it with a managed Supabase Postgres instance, a new Cloudflare D1 database, or your own externally hosted Postgres. One project can now hold a mobile app, a web app, a marketing site, and the backend they all share. GPT-5.6 Terra and Luna picked up OpenAI's price reductions, and the effort dropdown now goes up to Max and Ultra. Supabase can also be its own app type with a full Git repo behind it. More freedom in how you pay for AI Free plan users can now use any harness and any model on Draftbit credits, and it's easier to see when a thread is using your own AI subscription or API key versus credits. Paid plans buy more credits, sandboxes, and features than before, at lower prices. Expo 55, and Expo 56 in beta Expo SDK 55 is the recommended version, and apps on older SDKs see an upgrade note in App Checks. Expo 56 is in beta, so feel free to try it. Draftbit v1 is in maintenance mode With most customers on Draftbit Next, v1 is no longer getting new features.
