Fly.io Newsletter

Hi folks,

Sprites seem to be way better at making friends than any of us are. The Sprites ecosystem now features over 40 connectors, official plugins for a dozen coding agents, SDKs in four languages, and a handful of platforms that run Sprites as their sandbox. Sixteen new connectors arrived in the last three weeks alone, so we're probably lowballing these numbers by the time you read this.

We're probably most hyped about the Connectors, because they make working with Sprites feel unfairly simple. You connect a service once in your Fly.io dashboard, and your Sprite calls it through the Fly.io gateway. The API key stays with the gateway and never lands inside the Sprite, so an agent that decides to do something like - I dunno, hack a major model hub - has no key to misuse. Each connector is also fenced to the endpoints it exists for: your Neon key can branch databases, not run your account.

And because every new Sprite now ships with nine coding agents already installed, there's a decent chance the agent you use is sitting in there right now, waiting for something to do. Go hook it up to some buddies.

Keys to the City

Here's what's new since our last note. Each one plugs into your own account with that service, so grab an API key from them and add it once. The connector docs show how to call one from your code, and the ecosystem page has the full list.

Models: OpenAI for Responses, Chat Completions and embeddings, Hugging Face for open models and the Hub, and TypeSafeAI for its Jev decision model.

Databases and storage: Neon and Supabase put your Postgres within your agent's reach, and Tigris can now read and write the files in your buckets, not just create the buckets.

Search: Kagi and Keenable let your agent search the web itself, instead of you pasting results into the chat.

Email and voice: Resend sends mail, AgentMail gives your agent its own inbox, and ElevenLabs gives it a voice.

Memory and context: SenseLab gives your agent memory and briefings, and Usable brings in your team's workspace knowledge.

Tools and publishing: Composio hands your agent a whole catalogue of tools, and Blotato posts to your social accounts (keep an eye on that one).

Money: Era reads linked bank accounts, for the agent that does your books.

Plugged In

Sprites now show up inside more of the tools you already use, so your agent can create one, run code in it and clean up afterwards without you switching windows.

TanStack AI offers Sprites as one of its sandbox providers.

Claude Managed Agents and Cursor Cloud Agents can both run in Sprites. Setup guides: Claude, Cursor.

QM uses Sprites as its built-in sandbox.

Sprites is listed in Anthropic's connectors directory, so you can add it to Claude in a couple of clicks.

Hermes Agent has a Sprites plugin, maintained by Nous Research themselves.

The Claude Code plugin grew a Sprite Inspector pane: type /sprites-inspector to browse your Sprites, their services, checkpoints and logs right beside the conversation.

Maintain an integration that works with Sprites? Tell us about it and we'll look at listing it on the ecosystem page.

Built something fun on Sprites, or got a question? Hit reply. We read every one.

Thanks,

The Fly.io Team
