Monthly

Hi learners,

Some things are spooky on purpose. Others, like insurance terms or figuring out where to begin with MCAT prep, just feel that way.

This month, choose one free resource that fits what you need right now.

Take the scare out of money decisions 💳 Credit card statements, insurance terms, and loan agreements should not feel like surprise quizzes. The free Financial Literacy course can help you make sense of the choices and fine print you may face in real life.

Have you signed up for the MCAT exam yet? 🩺 Once the date is on your calendar, it can be hard to know where to begin. Free Khan Academy MCAT prep gives you a place to review foundational concepts, revisit topics that feel rusty, and study around everything else on your schedule.

A classic with a dark side 👥 Revisit The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde while sharpening your reading skills.

Ghost stories with a real history 👻 Explore the ghost stories of Appalachia and learn how regional legends can reveal something about the places and people who tell them.

History with a pirate twist 🏴‍☠️ Read about Black pirates in the Caribbean while practicing how to evaluate ideas and evidence in an informational text.

Full moons and eclipses 🌕 Learn why the moon seems to change shape, then see what has to line up for an eclipse to happen.

Put your own spin on pumpkin math 🎃

Take the Pumpkin Math Challenge Create a pumpkin design using symmetry, geometric shapes, patterns, or a favorite math symbol. Carve it, paint it, or keep it on paper.

Share your finished design on social media, tag @khanacademy on Facebook or Instagram, and use #KhanPumpkinMath so we can see what you create.
