The

Story of

Kopa

Hi {{ fullname | there }},

This is the beginning of a story we’ve been excited to share for a long time.

Kopa didn’t start with courts or construction plans. It started with a feeling — that something was missing.

Over the past few years, we spent time in clubs across cities — playing, observing, meeting people. Some spaces were beautiful but felt impersonal. Others had great energy but lacked care in the details. Very few managed to bring both together in a way that felt natural.

We kept coming back to the same idea:

What if there was a place where sport, design, and community existed at the same level — without compromise?

That question became the starting point of Kopa.

How it began

Four moments from Kopa — join the game

Like many meaningful projects, Kopa didn’t come from a single moment. It evolved through conversations — long ones — about sport, culture, and the kind of environments people actually want to be part of.

At the heart of those conversations was a shared vision shaped by people deeply connected to both sport and community. The ambition was clear early on: to build something that feels thoughtful, lasting, and genuinely different.

Padel naturally became the foundation. Not just because it’s growing quickly, but because of how it brings people together. It’s social by nature, accessible without being simplistic, and competitive without losing its sense of lightness.

But the idea quickly expanded beyond the game itself.

We weren’t interested in building just another facility. We wanted to create a place people would come back to — not only to play, but to stay, connect, and feel part of something.

Rooted in Pointe-Saint-Charles

Location matters. And for Kopa, Pointe-Saint-Charles was never incidental — it was intentional.

This neighborhood carries a unique energy in Montreal. It’s creative, evolving, and deeply rooted in its community. There’s a balance between its industrial past and its forward-looking spirit — something that resonated strongly with what we wanted Kopa to become.

Being part of Pointe-Saint-Charles means more than having an address here.

It means contributing to a local fabric — building connections with residents, professionals, and the broader community that gives the area its identity.

Kopa is designed to live within that rhythm, not apart from it.

Building the Foundation

From early on, every decision was guided by a simple principle:

If it doesn’t feel right, it doesn’t belong.

That meant taking time — sometimes more than expected — to get things right.

From the layout of the courts to the flow of the space, from the choice of materials to the programs we’re building, everything has been shaped with intention. The goal has never been just functionality, but atmosphere — a place that feels considered, balanced, and alive.

Padel courts inside Kopa

Kopa is designed as a complete environment:

Padel and pickleball courts

Training and wellness spaces

A café and lounge meant for lingering, not just passing through

A program of events that bring people together beyond the game

Each piece adds to the experience.

Why Kopa

The name reflects what we’re building.

Kopa is about connection — between people, between disciplines, between moments in your day.

It’s about showing up, whether it’s for a match, a workout, or simply a coffee after work, and feeling like you belong there.

Not because it’s exclusive, but because it’s intentional.

Looking

ahead

We’re just getting started.

Kopa will continue to evolve with the people who shape it — players, members, friends, neighbors. The goal was never to create something fixed, but something that grows naturally over time.

In the coming months, we’ll be sharing more: the people behind the project, the thinking behind the details, and what’s coming next at the club.

If you’re reading this, you’re already part of the story. And we’re glad you’re here.
