Hey there,

Nobody likes boring legal emails, including us, but we have to send them by law. So we'll keep this brief like always.

On November 23, 2026 we're making two changes to our AI subprocessors:

AWS Bedrock. We're adding it to run AI inference. AWS already hosts PostHog, but Bedrock inference is processed globally, so if you use our AI tools it may happen outside the region where your PostHog data is hosted.

OpenAI. Again, we already work with OpenAI as a subprocessor, but we're adding the EU (EEA + Switzerland) as a processing location, alongside the US.

These changes only affect you if you use PostHog's AI features. If you're on EU Cloud, your PostHog data is still hosted in EU region. AI inference is the only part that may happen elsewhere. If that doesn't work for you, you can turn AI features off.
