Gruns has a reseller issue

For some, this is a huge opportunity. For Gruns, a huge headache.

Gruns recently exited for over $1b, and shortly after, this popped up.

Below is the reseller history for Gruns. This May, it became open season for resellers. And their Buy Box prices dropped considerably.

Just because you sold for over $1b, doesn't make you immune to what happens on Amazon when you have big margins.

Showing the relationship between resellers and brands is something I've kept working on at SmartScout.

SmartScout now has seller inventory quantities for a product. We also have seller histories for every brand.

Amazon Accelerate is Next Week

This is the day Amazon tells us how awesome everything they do with AI is.

It's all awesome all the time.

They would never do anything that would have a negative impact.

Sarcasm aside. It is a big week of announcements. It's also huge. As you know, I'm a big fan of Seller Cafe. I've got a big issue to bring to them. As a seller, it's great.

I'm even pushing them to go on the road. Wouldn't you go to a seller cafe near you if you got real issues solved???

Big Goverment Amazon Lawsuit

The FTC and 22 states are suing Amazon for secret surcharges on Advertising.

I can't blame Amazon. Free money is free money.

But as sellers.... this kind of sucks if it's true. Paying extra money for ads goes straight to the bottom line and hopefully sellers come out on the right side of this. A bit of transparency about how our ads are run is certainly important.

Amazon Ads in ChatGPT?

Now... this is what Amazon wants us to talk about. More ads in more locations!

It's obviously a big deal and can really future-proof the ecosystem. This is a big win for both companies and can meaningfully be where the future is going.

I will not be an early adopter. But looking forward to seeing the results.
