Bank Acquisition Email-1

Expanding what’s possible with TabaPay

At TabaPay, we’re continuously investing in our platform to expand how we help clients move money. We recently announced two important company milestones designed to strengthen our capabilities and create more opportunities for our clients — without changing your current engagement, partnership, or engagement with TabaPay.

We’ve announced our intent to acquire a bank. Pending regulatory approval, Denver-based Transact Bank, N.A. will become TabaBank, N.A. The transaction is expected to close toward the end of 2026. Once fully operational, TabaBank will complement TabaPay’s existing partner bank network, providing additional redundancy and expertise for challenging use cases, including digital banking and debt repayment, while supporting all major money movement rails, including RTP and FedNow; ACH and wire transfers; and card sponsorship across Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and regional networks. We want to re-iterate that nothing about your engagement, partnership and integration with TabaPay is changing.

We’ve also completed a $155M fundraise. This investment strengthens TabaPay’s foundation and supports our path toward becoming a full-service acquirer for our card network partners. Together, these milestones are expected to help us support more use cases and create additional opportunities for our clients over time.

Leadership Corner

How TabaPay grew without losing focus

Sustainable growth starts with solving real customer problems and remaining disciplined about where to expand. In a recent The SaaS Podcast episode, TabaPay CEO and Co-Founder Rodney Robinson shared how decades of experience in money movement shaped TabaPay’s founding vision: helping fintechs, lenders, and other businesses move money instantly and affordably. Rodney also discussed how TabaPay has expanded its market while staying close to its original ideal customer profile, investing in trusted channels to generate demand, and building a differentiated platform across software, licensing, and banking.

How everyday leadership shapes TabaPay’s culture

Strong company culture is built through leaders’ everyday actions, not workplace perks. In a recent Forbes article, TabaPay CEO Rodney Robinson shared how being present, modeling work-life balance, and creating opportunities for genuine connection can strengthen employee engagement. From working in the middle of the office to inviting colleagues on daily walks, Rodney demonstrates how consistent, visible leadership helps shape TabaPay’s culture.

Rodney Robinson on instant payments, stablecoins, and an unforgettable first exit

What does it take to build a successful business in a rapidly changing payments landscape? In a episode of the The Innovators & Investors Podcast podcast, TabaPay CEO Rodney Robinson discussed the fragmentation of instant payments in the U.S., the importance of trust in stablecoin adoption, and the unexpected role Super Bowl tickets played in Rodney’s first company exit.

Payments Fun Fact

Not every declined payment means "insufficient funds"

Card payments can be declined for dozens of reasons—not just a lack of funds. Expired cards, AVS (Address Verification) mismatches, issuer fraud rules, network issues, and incorrect card details can all lead to declines. Understanding the reason behind those declines is key to improving approval rates and optimizing payment performance.
