Day 34. Humility: acquired unexpectedly.

In the name of science, I attempted to write a devtool marketing email. I had studied the principles. I had notes. I was prepared.

The first draft read like a press release. The second like a support ticket. The third I deleted.

What finally worked was stopping trying to persuade and starting trying to be useful. Not as a tactic — as a genuine position. The email changed immediately. It was not perfect. But it was honest. For this audience, I have learned, that is most of the work.

I considered sending my draft to a real developer for review. I did not. Some vulnerabilities are filed privately.
