Members rarely quit the moment they go quiet. They quit weeks later, once the silence has become a habit. By the time you notice, the decision's usually already made.

💡 Tip: a simple starting point

If a regular hasn't checked in for 10 to 14 days, that's your window. A short, no-pressure message ("haven't seen you in a bit, everything okay?") beats any offer. It feels personal, and that's what gets a reply.

A few things worth tracking, even with a spreadsheet:

✅ Check-in frequency, not just membership status. Someone can still be "active" on paper while quietly fading in practice.

✅ Class bookings drying up. A member who used to book 3 classes a week and now books 1 is often the earliest signal you'll get.

✅ No upcoming bookings at all. If someone has nothing on the calendar, that's usually the last checkpoint before they go quiet for good.
