Hi John,

The Frontend Nation 2026 lineup is expanding, and with each new addition, the picture sharpens: frontend is no longer just about building interfaces, but about shaping how systems respond, filter, and make sense of the world around the user.

If you’re still deciding, this is where the field is moving, and where the conversation is already happening.

Make sure not to miss it: Frontend Nation 2026 (June 3–4)

Here are three new speakers joining the program:

Debbie O’Brien, How I Used AI to Fix Our E2E Test Architecture

Meet our speaker - Debbie O'Brien

Debbie O’Brien is a Platform Engineer - Applied AI at Zephyr Cloud, working at the intersection of testing, infrastructure, and AI-assisted development.

In her talk, she walks through a concrete problem many teams recognize: an E2E test suite that passes in CI but fails locally.

Instead of debugging manually, Debbie used AI to analyze over 14,000 lines of test infrastructure across dozens of spec files, documenting issues and systematically improving the system through a repeatable process. The result was not just a fix, but a structured workflow – a step-by-step method for identifying and resolving problems at scale.

This talk goes beyond tooling and into practice: how AI can be used to reason about complex systems, where it helps, where it doesn’t, and what it takes to make it reliable in real development environments.

Kedasha Kerr, AI (details coming soon)

Meet our speaker - Kedasha Kerr

Kedasha Kerr is a Developer Advocate at GitHub, bringing perspective from one of the most influential platforms in modern software development.

GitHub sits at the center of how developers build, collaborate, and ship code, from version control and code review to CI/CD and increasingly AI-assisted development.

Having a speaker from GitHub on the Frontend Nation stage gives developers a direct look at where modern software workflows are moving. As tools evolve and AI becomes more embedded into development, GitHub is one of the platforms shaping how these changes reach developers in practice.

Rijk van Zanten, AI UX is just CMS design all over again

Meet our speaker - Rijk van Zanten

Rijk van Zanten is the Co-Founder and CTO at Directus, an open data platform built around flexible schemas and dynamic interfaces, designed to handle content that is not always neat, complete, or predictable.

In his talk, he brings that experience into the conversation around AI, challenging the idea that AI UX is something entirely new. Instead, he draws a line back to CMS systems, which have long dealt with ambiguity, variability, and loosely structured input. What AI introduces is not a new problem, but a broader version of an old one.

By reconnecting these domains, Rijk shows that many of the patterns needed to work with AI interfaces already exist; they just need to be applied in a new context.

Why this matters for Vue developers?

Taken together, these talks point to a shift that is already underway. AI is no longer just about generating outputs, it’s about how those outputs are integrated into real systems, workflows, and interfaces.

Debbie’s approach shows how AI can be used to analyze and improve complex codebases in a structured, repeatable way, something that directly impacts how Vue applications are maintained and scaled over time. Kedasha’s presence brings insight from GitHub, a platform deeply embedded in everyday development workflows, including how Vue projects are built, reviewed, and shipped. And Rijk’s framing connects AI back to familiar frontend patterns, particularly relevant in Vue, where dynamic components, slots, and content-driven rendering are already widely used.

For Vue developers, this means going beyond composing components and managing state reactively, and toward designing systems that can handle variability and evolving inputs. Reactivity remains central, but the inputs become less predictable.

The challenge is not just rendering data, but shaping it, ensuring that what reaches the template is structured, meaningful, and ready to be presented clearly.
