Hi John,

Your UI is held together with if statements, and you know it.

Picture a dashboard where a marketer and a developer see completely different cards. You built that with conditionals. Branch on user role. Branch on whether there's data. More branches. It works, but six months from now someone's going to touch that file and hate you for it.

Generative UI is the alternative. Instead of mapping every path upfront, you give an AI model the building blocks: components, context, constraints. It assembles the interface at runtime. The marketer sees goals and campaign metrics. The developer sees something else. Same app, same components, no conditional spaghetti. The model composed the view.

Cool. Also kind of terrifying.

Because now the interface isn't something you wrote. It's something that happens. Which raises some real questions:

How do you keep the model from inventing raw markup? It should pick from components you've built and trust, nothing else.

How do you make adding new UI cheap? The whole thing falls apart if every new component means rewriting logic. "Add another component" should be a five-minute job.

How does the model actually decide? Wiring that up is the fun part.

That's the workshop. On June 3, I’ll walk you through a practical architecture for interfaces that compose themselves. You'll build directly on a working prototype.

Meet our speaker - Saurabh Rob Dahal

You'll learn how to:

Wire up an app where data and freeform prompts decide which tools get called

See Generative UI in action across two completely different apps

Keep the model on a leash and ditch the conditionals

Walk away with a working prototype you can pull apart

And if your app is simple enough that this feels like overkill, it isn't. Generative UI in one small spot, an onboarding step that adapts to an answer, an empty state that suggests the actually-useful next action, is often the whole difference between "neat app" and "wait, how did it know that?"
