Hi John,
Before I get into everything inside Unlearn, one thing first.
For everyone who joins before Early Access closes in 1 hour, we are hosting a live onboarding workshop. An exclusive live session where I walk you around the platform, show you how to get the most value from it from day one, and answer your questions directly. If you've been wondering how to start once you're in, that session is exactly where you start. It's exclusive to members who join now.
And here's the full picture of what's inside.
What you get in Unlearn
When you join, here's what's yours:
Every workflow, lesson, and course we ship from this point forward
MCP servers and AI skill files you install directly into your editor
The developer community with engineers making the same transition
Weekly content covering the frameworks you're actually using
Frequent live events with experts (some free, some premium)
Early access to every beta feature before anyone else sees it
Direct input into what we build next
Everything here is what's live right now. We ship new content every week, and it all becomes part of what you own as a member.
The only subscription a developer needs for the AI era, and whatever comes after it.
The flagship workflow
The most important thing on the platform is the flagship workflow. It covers your entire software development lifecycle from idea to code in production, across 8 phases:
Spec a Product Before AI Builds It. Turn a rough idea into something precise enough that the AI executes it without guessing.
Design a Feature AI Can Execute Without Guessing. Break a feature down into tasks so that the AI knows exactly what to build.
Build Features with an AI Agent. Feed the agent the right context so it ships clean code instead of something you have to rewrite.
Reviewing AI-Written Code. A system for knowing exactly what's in the PR before you merge it, not just a gut check.
Merging and Deploying. Close the gap between "it looks correct" and "I'd bet production on it".
Debugging and Performance. Trace issues in AI-generated code when you don't have full context for what it was built.
Refactoring with an AI Agent. Refactor safely when one wrong instruction could rewrite half the codebase.
Getting Up to Speed on Any Codebase. Use AI to map
architecture, trace feature flows, and build a real mental model fast.
Each phase ships with lessons, prompts, MCP guides, and AI skill files you drop straight into your editor. Run through it once on a real project, and the way you work with AI permanently changes. Most people start here, and most people finish it.
5 AI courses included
Five courses covering the fundamentals and specializations that sit underneath the workflows:
The Future Proof Dev – the foundation. What it means to be a developer in the AI era and how to stay sharp as the tools keep changing.
Mastering Reusable AI Workflows – build workflows you can reach for again and again, not one-off prompts that only work once.
Optimizing Productivity with AI Tools and Agents – get more out of the tools you're already using and learn when to use agents vs. when not to.
RAG for Real-World AI Applications – build AI features that work with your own data, not just general knowledge.
AI for UI Design and Automated Testing – use AI to move faster on the front end and build test coverage you can actually trust.
Live events and early access
We bring in experts for occasional live sessions, covering topics that matter right now across AI, frameworks, and real production problems. Some events are free for all members, some are premium. Either way, as a member, you hear about them first and get access before anyone outside does.
We spend hundreds of hours researching what actually works with AI in the frameworks that web developers use in production. When something is proven, early access members get it first before it ships anywhere else. You can apply it to your own work, and your feedback shapes what we build next. With AI changing every month, being on the inside of that loop can make a difference.
Who is this for
Unlearn isn't a "start from scratch" course, and I want to be honest about that. If you're picking up coding for the first time or building your first project, this isn't the right fit.
This is built for developers with 3 to 15 years of experience who are already working on existing applications, dealing with legacy code, juggling multiple technologies, and maintaining codebases with years of decisions baked into them. You know how to code. What you're figuring out is how to use AI as a real execution partner in that environment, not in a toy project, without losing your grip on what's actually happening.
That's who we built Unlearn for.
Where do I start?
Start with the flagship workflow. It's the full development lifecycle in 8 phases and gives you a complete system you can run on any feature in any codebase. Most people go through it once with something real they're already working on.
From there, pick the workflow that fits your next problem. About to refactor something scary? Go to "Refactoring with an AI Agent". Just joined a new team or inherited a codebase you don't fully understand? Go to "Getting Up to Speed on Any Codebase". The workflows are built to be grabbed when you need them, not worked through in order.
1,100+ developers are already inside. To give more people a chance to join, we opened 300 additional spots yesterday at $169/yr and extended early access until today at 16:00 CEST. When access closes, the exclusive onboarding workshop goes with it.

One thing worth knowing before you join
Here's a taste of what Phase 1 of the flagship workflow teaches.
Most developers start an AI session with something like "build me a login feature". The AI produces code. It looks fine. An hour later, you're rewriting half of it because the data model doesn't fit the existing schema, the edge cases weren't accounted for, and the component structure doesn't match anything else in the codebase.
The spec wasn't wrong. There was no spec.
Phase 1 is called "Shape an Idea Into a Solid Spec". Five lessons that walk you through turning a rough idea into something precise enough that an AI agent can execute it without asking you a single clarifying question. You lock in the scope, the technical constraints, what's explicitly out of bounds, and what done actually looks like before a single line of code is written.
Once you have a spec like that, the AI stops guessing, the code fits what you already have, the reviews get faster, and the rewrites disappear.
That's one workflow, out of the initial eight. Plus five AI courses, frequent live events, and everything we ship from this point forward. That's Unlearn.
