Amazon Brands with a successful TikTok Shop are growing 5.2x faster than those without.

Wow.

Of the top 10,000 Amazon brands, 1,309 of them have an associated TikTok Shop per our data at SmartScout. Those with a shop are performing way above the average.

This says what most in the industry already know and feel. That successfully attaching a social commerce engine grows the whole business.

In-store.

On Amazon.

On DTC website.

Brands we talk to want a smoking gun for the "halo effect".

You're not going to get every piece of attribution.

Let me say that again.

You're not going to get every piece of attribution in this channel.

It's just not possible.

Let's say someone sees your product on TikTok. They don't buy. They tell their friend about an interesting ad they say. The friend buys.

No tool will ever measure that.

But the data is unmistakable.

So... what would I do with this?

See if the channel can "work" for you. I'll be the first to say it doesn't work for everyone. But doesn't hurt to check out the data. ;)

I'm going to say something controversial.

Amazon FBA's fees are reasonable. It's an amazing value for the shipping speed. Their updates make sense to offset costs.

But... they do make mistakes. Or kind of miss the plot sometimes.

They're reaching out to some brands to gain access to some same-day fulfillment centers.

The problem is... they're having brands "auction" what they would pay for the 12% conversion lift.

You see.... in the world of Amazon FBA. Some fees make sense. They're easy to calculate.

And others are hard.

This one's the worst of the latter. You have to play "game theory" and figure out what the next brand may or not pay.
