Dear customer,
We're writing to let you know about an upcoming change to how Krisp Background Voice Cancellation (BVC) is billed on LiveKit Cloud, effective May 1, 2026.
What's changing
Until now, Krisp BVC has been included at no additional cost as part of your LiveKit Cloud plan. Due to increased costs for this capability, we will begin charging for Krisp BVC usage that exceeds the free monthly allotment included with your plan.
Starting May 1, Krisp BVC usage will be billed at $0.0012/minute after you exceed your plan's included allotment:
Build — 100 minutes/month included (upgrade to a paid plan for additional minutes)
Ship — 1,000 minutes/month included, then $0.0012/minute
Scale — 10,000 minutes/month included, then $0.0012/minute
Krisp BVC overage minutes will appear as a new line item on your monthly invoice.
What's not changing
Krisp enhanced noise cancellation remains included with your plan at no additional charge, bundled into the standard WebRTC connection rate. This pricing update only affects Krisp BVC.
