This month brings SMS delivery events in Application Logs and a device authorization flow for CLIs and other devices. Admin Logs also give your team a way to trace configuration changes across its Clerk workspace.
Let customers set up their own Directory Sync
Your customers’ IT admins can now configure Directory Sync from the Security tab in <OrganizationProfile />, alongside self-serve SSO, without needing Clerk Dashboard access. A guided setup matches their SSO provider, including Google Workspace, and lets them review attributes and test provisioning before going live. Your team retains control of custom attribute and Role mapping in the Dashboard.

Trace SMS delivery in Application Logs
Application Logs now record delivery events for SMS messages sent by Clerk, including verification and password reset codes. When a user reports a missing code, you can see whether the message was accepted, delivered, rejected, or left unconfirmed. Filter the SMS logs by event type or phone number, then follow the events for a message through a shared trace. Failure reasons help you distinguish an invalid number from a provider limit or unreachable destination.

OAuth Device Authorization Grant
Clerk now supports OAuth Device Authorization Grant for CLIs, TVs, and other devices that cannot easily open a browser or accept text input. A client displays a short code and verification URL; the user approves access from a browser-capable device while the client polls for a token. Clerk hosts the verification page, including requested scopes and Organization selection when applicable.
