When's the last time you tested your pricing page?
Pricing pages get 16.5% of all site traffic and the lowest bounce rate on the entire site.
And other than your homepage, they have the largest impact on signups compared to any other page on your site.
My team just talked to three pricing experts, including the founder of Toggl, for a deep dive on what actually moves the needle. Here's what stood out.
Most "obvious" additions hurt more than they help. After tracking 14,000+ pricing page tests, one expert found that testimonials, G2 badges, and ROI calculators usually underperform. Strike-through pricing loses most A/B tests too. If someone scrolls past your plans, they're looking for a specific answer, not social proof.
Don't test your pricing model on this page. Test your design. Buttons, headlines, layout, sure. But your actual pricing model and price points need separate, careful analysis. Mixing the two muddies your data and can tank retention.
Aim for 20 seconds. That's how long it should take a visitor to know which plan fits them. If it takes longer, you're asking them to do too much work.
One founder doubled his traffic by changing a nav link from "Go Pro" to "Pricing" and moving it to the right. Small, boring, and effective. That's usually how this works.
And increasingly, it's not just humans reading your pricing page. AI agents are parsing it too. Clean HTML, stable layouts, and clear pricing narrative matter more than ever.
