Hi, it’s Harcourt from Paper.
This month we polished, boosted performance, and shipped new features too. They’re listed in this email and shown in our ~6 minute video.

Performance improvements
Paper now uses nearly half the memory it did before. New tabs load faster, switching between pages is quicker, and pan and zoom feel much smoother in large files.
In-app agent setup
Connecting your agent to Paper’s MCP takes just one click. Open the MCP connection panel in the editor, pick your harness, and connect. Already connected? Everything will keep working, but we recommend reconnecting using this method for increased reliability.

Opacity tokens
You can now use opacity tokens to override color tokens. On any fill, apply an opacity token to reuse one color at as many opacities as you like.

Shader of the month: Paper Texture
The Paper Texture shader has new capabilities: a three-color scheme, a new property for straight folding lines, updated wrinkles and crumples patterns, and roughnessRows prop for grid-like grain. We also included quality improvements like softer creases, cleaner image edges, and improved performance.
