Turn emails into revenue with Brew. No credit card, free credits to try.
Resend is a developer email API with Broadcasts, Automations, and MCP. Brew creates and runs branded email through an AI agent.
| Feature | Brew | Resend |
|---|---|---|
| Creation | ||
| Email creation | Prompt-based layouts and copy, with visual editing | No-code editor in the dashboard, templates with variables, or HTML through the API |
| Automation | ||
| Automation | Event triggers, delays, and payload, contact, or engagement conditions | Automations triggered by custom events, with send, wait, and condition steps |
| Integration | ||
| Agent access | MCP and REST API | Remote MCP server covering emails, contacts, broadcasts, automations, templates, and domains |
| Sending | ||
| Marketing sends | Campaigns to audiences from your verified domain | Broadcasts to segments of stored contacts, scheduled from the dashboard or API |
| Pricing | ||
| Pricing basis | AI credits and sending allowances | Transactional priced by emails per month; marketing priced by contacts |
Free tier available, paid plans from $99/mo (Growth) and $249/mo (Pro)
AI credit usage and email sending allowances are separate. Check current limits on the pricing page.
Free plan with 3,000 emails per month, 100 per day, 3 domains, and 1,000 contacts. Pro transactional from $20 per month for 50,000 emails. Marketing plans from $40 to $250 per month for 5,000 to 50,000 contacts, with no limit on sends.
Broadcasts can only go to stored contacts, so marketing cost tracks list size rather than volume.
Brew takes brand context and a prompt to create an email, then supports visual edits and agent revisions. It also imports existing HTML, screenshots, and Figma designs. Compare the output using your actual logo, type, links, and required footer.
Resend expects you to bring the email. Broadcasts can be composed in a no-code dashboard editor or sent as HTML through the API, and templates accept variables. Teams that build email in React or raw HTML keep full control; teams that want the design generated will do that work elsewhere.
Resend Automations start from custom events your application sends, then send templated emails, wait for a period or another event, and branch on conditions. They are available from the dashboard, the API, the CLI, and the MCP server.
In a Brew event-triggered automation, payload fields retain their original values after a wait, and a contact.<field> condition reads the current Brew contact when that node runs. Review the corresponding Resend behavior and test conversion during a delay rather than assuming identical semantics.
Recreate one existing email, send it to test inboxes, and review mobile rendering, links, personalization, and unsubscribe behavior. Then test an event-driven sequence with an activated, unactivated, and unsubscribed contact.
Keep the original system responsible for live sends until the replacement passes those checks. Migration also includes contact consent, suppression records, domain setup, and any active workflow runs; copying HTML alone does not transfer those records.
Choose Brew if generating and revising branded email is the bottleneck and you want the design work done in the same place as sending. Choose Resend if your team already sends from code, wants React or HTML control over every message, and needs broadcasts and automations on top of a transactional API.
