An email API built around code against a lifecycle email tool priced on subscribed contacts.
Choose Resend if your developers send transactional email from code and want React Email, an SMTP relay and AI drafting in the editor.
Choose Loops if you want unlimited sends on a plan priced by subscribed contacts, with A/B experiments inside your workflows.
Choose Brew if you want a fully agentic setup, where your AI agent drives lifecycle marketing to engage and retain customers. Brew designs every email from your brand and runs your automations agentically.
Brew is the third column, for teams that want an agent to design and send their email.

Neither designs a finished, on-brand email. Resend’s MCP server sends HTML your agent writes itself; in Loops, an agent writes each email in LMX code.
Both price marketing email on the size of your list: Resend on contacts, Loops on subscribed contacts.
Resend sells transactional and marketing email on separate plans. Pro is $20/month for 50,000 transactional emails, and marketing starts at $40/month for 5,000 contacts.
Loops bills on subscribed contacts, with no send cap on paid plans: $49/month for 5,000 and $99/month for 10,000. On the free plans, Resend allows 3,000 emails a month and 1,000 contacts, and Loops 1,000 subscribed contacts and 4,000 sends per 30 days.
Brew bills on emails sent and AI credits, with unlimited contacts: Growth is $99/month for 50,000 sends and 10,000 AI credits.
Brew is fully agentic: your agent designs on-brand emails, sends them and runs your automations. Unlimited contacts on every plan. OAuth and organization-scoped MCP connections ask you to confirm live sends and launches. Brand-scoped API keys can execute permitted calls without the MCP confirmation step.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Grok over MCP and your agent gets every Brew tool. It designs emails from your brand, builds audiences, runs automations and schedules sends. OAuth and organization-scoped MCP connections ask you to confirm live sends and launches. Brand-scoped API keys can execute permitted calls without the MCP confirmation step.
Paste your website and Brew writes your brand into two files your agent reads for every email. Describe the email and it appears on the canvas, ready to edit by hand or in chat.

Resend for transactional email sent from code: a REST API, SMTP relay, official SDKs and React Email, with Pro at $20/month for 50,000 emails. Loops for lifecycle email: workflows start on events, contact changes and list signups, experiment nodes A/B test them, and paid plans have no send cap. Both send marketing and transactional email.
At 5,000 marketing contacts they are close: Resend’s marketing plan starts at $40/month and Loops is $49/month with unlimited sends. Resend’s transactional email is a separate plan, from $20/month for 50,000 emails. Loops is $99/month at 10,000 subscribed contacts and does not count unsubscribed ones.
Both give agents an MCP server. Resend’s sends emails and broadcasts and manages contacts and automations, with the agent writing each email’s HTML, and its editor’s AI drafts emails on monthly AI credits. Loops adds a CLI and skills: an agent writes the email in LMX, Loops’ markup, and creates and sends campaigns and workflows. Neither designs a finished, on-brand email; Brew does.
Brew, if you want an agent to design and run your email instead of writing each one in code. Your agent designs finished, on-brand emails from your brand, sends them and runs your automations, with marketing and transactional email on one plan and unlimited contacts. Developers keep a REST API, typed SDK and CLI. Brew has no signup forms or A/B tests.
Yes. Keep Resend for the transactional email your code sends and run marketing and lifecycle email in Brew, or export any finished Brew email as HTML and send it through Resend’s API. Brew has no Loops export, so each tool sends its own emails: LiveFlow kept its authentication emails in Loops and sends everything a customer reads from Brew.
Brew publishes this comparison. Brew Team reviewed the linked first-party documentation. This is a documentation review, not a claim of hands-on testing of every product. Pricing and plan limits can change.
