Compare AI email builders on brand fidelity, editing after generation, and how the email gets sent. Brew, Klaviyo Composer, Stripo, Email Love and Emailify.
Brew publishes this comparison. We reviewed the linked product documentation on September 28, 2026; this is a documentation comparison, not a claim of hands-on testing of every platform. Check current plan limits on the vendor's pricing page.
You ask an AI builder for the spring sale email, and the draft comes back with a stock blue button and a font your brand has never used. Changing one link means regenerating the whole email. Once it looks right, someone still has to paste the HTML into the ESP and fix whatever broke on the way.
This guide compares five builders on those three problems: matching your brand, editing after generation, and sending without a rebuild in another tool. Its scope is design. If you want the wider category that also covers send-time models and agent operations, read AI email marketing tools.
We checked each vendor's own pricing and documentation pages on September 28, 2026, and compared them on four criteria:
This is research from published pages. We did not run the same prompt through every tool.
| Tool | Brand source | Edit after generation | Sends email | Entry pricing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brew | Your website, plus any brand files you upload | Prompt edits and manual edits on a canvas | Yes, from your verified domain. Also exports templates to supported email platforms | Free plan; Growth $99/mo |
| Klaviyo Composer | Brand voice, colors, fonts and send history in your Klaviyo account | Drafts open in Klaviyo's editor | Yes, inside Klaviyo, after you approve | Klaviyo free plan; paid tiers by profile count |
| Stripo | Brand Kit in the editor | Drag-and-drop editor with an AI Assistant | No. Exports to ESPs or as HTML | Free; Basic $20/mo |
| Email Love | Your Figma design system | In Figma | No. Exports to 24 platforms by API, plus HTML/MJML | Free (5 exports/mo); Starter $19/user/mo |
| Emailify | Emailify components in Figma | In Figma | No. Exports to 40+ ESPs | Pro $49/mo |
Brew starts with brand extraction. You give it a domain, and an agent reads the site, then writes a brand document called email-design.md. You can also upload a brand guide, PDFs, logos or past emails. When your files and the live site disagree, Brew follows your files. The email-design.md post explains why Brew stores brand as an editable document instead of a set of form fields.
Generated emails appear side by side on a canvas. From there you can edit with a prompt, click into text, links, buttons and images, make variants without losing the original, and preview at mobile, tablet and desktop widths. You can also set one email as the reference design for later generations.
Brew sends from your own verified domain, and you can send now, schedule, or use gradual or intelligent send. If your team already sends from another platform, Brew exports the design as a template to Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Brevo, Braze, Iterable and five others. Export creates a template in the other platform and does not send anything.
Brew is a newer platform than the ESPs on this list. Its Free plan adds a Brew watermark and includes 500 AI credits and 1,000 sends a month. Growth ($99/month) removes the watermark. Every plan includes every feature.
Brew fits teams that want generation, editing and sending in one place, and teams that want on-brand templates for an ESP they are keeping.
For a team already using Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Brevo, try one campaign before changing the rest of the workflow:
The export is a copy, not a live sync. Later design changes require another export. Audience data, automation setup, and delivery reporting stay in the sending platform. The Klaviyo walkthrough shows the full process. For Customer.io, use manual HTML import; Brew's direct connection is unavailable.
Composer is Klaviyo's AI agent. You describe a goal, and it drafts email, SMS and push campaigns, flows with their messages, and segments. Klaviyo says Composer works best when the account already has a configured brand voice, brand colors and fonts, and a history of sends. Drafts open in Klaviyo's own editor.
Composer does not send or publish anything without your approval. Once you approve, Klaviyo sends the campaign from the platform you already run.
Composer only works inside Klaviyo. It fits a store already on Klaviyo whose performance history is there. A team that is not on Klaviyo would have to adopt the whole platform to get it. The free plan covers 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month.
Stripo is an email template editor with an AI Assistant. The assistant writes text, suggests structures and builds sections from email-safe modules, and it uses the fonts and colors in your Brand Kit. You finish the email in a drag-and-drop editor, then export it to an ESP or as HTML.
Stripo does not send campaigns. Its plans limit exports and test emails: Free allows 4 exports a month, Basic ($20/month) allows 50, Medium ($45/month) allows 300, and Pro ($125/month) allows 4,000.
It fits teams that want a mature manual editor with AI help on the side, and that send from a separate ESP.
Email Love is a Figma plugin. It converts Figma layers into MJML, then HTML. You can build with its 100+ components or with your own Figma designs. On the Growth plan and above, AI Studio generates full templates from a text brief using your Figma design system's colors, fonts and components.
Exports go by API to 24 platforms, including Braze, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Iterable and Customer.io, or as files for Loops and others. Pricing starts with a free tier of 5 exports a month. Starter is $19 per user per month and Growth is $59 per user per month.
It fits design teams whose source of truth is a Figma library. It is not a sending tool.
Emailify is also a Figma plugin, from Hypermatic. It exports emails built with Emailify's own components, so existing Figma designs have to be rebuilt with those components first. An AI Designer, in beta, turns a campaign brief into an email using an approved component library. The result stays editable in Figma. Emailify Pro is $49 a month.
It fits teams who design in Figma and want to export to one of the 40+ ESPs it supports.
| If you... | Start with |
|---|---|
| Want brand extraction, editing and sending in one product | Brew |
| Want on-brand templates but plan to keep your current ESP | Brew (export) or Stripo |
| Already run your store on Klaviyo and have send history there | Klaviyo Composer |
| Treat a Figma library as the brand source of truth | Email Love or Emailify |
| Want a long-established manual editor with AI assistance | Stripo |
Run the same brief through each tool you shortlist. How to brief an email agent has a template. Then check four things:
A generated promotional email is still commercial mail. The FTC's CAN-SPAM guide applies whoever wrote it, and bulk senders still have to meet Gmail's sender requirements.
The tool has to know your brand before it generates. That knowledge can come from your website, an uploaded guide, a brand kit, a Figma library or past sends. Beyond colors and fonts, check whether the tool keeps your layout habits and your voice.
Yes. Brew, Stripo, Email Love and Emailify can all hand a finished email to an existing ESP. Brew exports templates to supported email platforms. Brew's direct Customer.io connection is not available; use a manual HTML import. Check that your ESP is on the list before you commit.
Approval depends on the tool and connection. Klaviyo documents that Composer requires approval. In Brew, live sends need a verified domain. OAuth and organization connections require confirmation; configure approval in brand API-key clients. Stripo, Email Love and Emailify do not send campaigns at all.
Authentication, domain reputation, recipient consent, and complaints matter for generated and hand-written emails. Review the claims and unsubscribe link, then test the email in the clients your audience uses.
To see your own brand in an email, start in Brew with your domain and compare the first draft against your last campaign.
