Joseph Lagor built myWOD, a workout tracking app. He moved its email from Outlook to Brew, and every newsletter opens above 60%.

Loving the service. Brew connects to my app, so every member gets the right email without me sending a thing by hand.
myWOD is a workout tracking app for CrossFit and functional fitness athletes: log every workout, chase PRs, keep a streak going and back it all up to the cloud. Joseph Lagor built it, and he keeps shipping what members ask for.
Telling members about it meant Outlook, with everyone in BCC. No design, no way to see who opened, and no way to reach someone at the moment it mattered, like the day they subscribed or the day they cancelled.
Brew pulled myWOD’s brand, and the monthly newsletter became a designed recap of what shipped: the timer members asked for, Cloud Backup, streaks, and the app’s first renewal milestone.
Then Joseph connected the app itself. RevenueCat tells Brew when someone subscribes or cancels, so a new subscriber gets a thank-you and a cancellation gets a personal “before you go” note, automatically. In October he added a Day 0, 3 and 7 onboarding flow, triggered by events from the app and shaped by what each new member has done.
Every monthly newsletter since the move has opened above 60%, and the first one reached 83%. Newsletters that went out as a BCC from Outlook now land as designed, on-brand emails that members read.
The emails the app sends on its own do even better. The thank-you to new subscribers is opened by 82% of them, and the “before you go” note by 78% of members who cancel.
In Joseph’s words, he is loving the service, and the app now sends the right email to every member without him sending a thing by hand.

One newsletter a month used to be all I could manage. Now I run a full lifecycle program.

Emails used to take me hours. Now they’re done in minutes.

Our first email on Brew got a 60% open rate. Our old platform averaged 30%.

We are quite surprised by the frequent praise we are receiving from our clients about how attractive the new emails are.

The AI-native editor makes it genuinely fast to go from brief to a polished email. It’s cut our email production time significantly.

It’s like having another person on my team who can learn my brand & business even faster than an actual assistant.

I’ve sent over six billion emails, and I’ve never built them this fast. When a client rebranded, their new flow was done the same afternoon.

Brew’s prompt to email design is insane. It helps me fast-track newsletter creation and drip sequences.
